Engaged are Us

How did it all start for you?  How did your engagement process begin?
” Will you do me the honor of marrying me?  ”
” How about we go get hitched?”
” Um, the rabbit died…so, before my dad finds out we better get married.”
” Whatcha think about you and me going to the justice of the peace and tying the knot?”
“I can get a discount on my timeshare if I share it with a spouse…”
“I am losing my visa and need to be married to a citizen”
“I need to be married to make my great grandmother happy”

This is the moment we all remember – that magical or surprising time when the question is popped ( how do you really POP a question?… just state it already) and you are either happy, scared, surprised, thrilled or all of the above.

Many other parts of the marriage journey may fade or even be suppressed in our memory, but the beginning is seldom forgotten.

Then the Lord God said, “It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper as his partner.”  Gen 2:18

About A Silver Garden

I am all things (wife, mom, sister, daughter, housekeeper, gardener, friend, employee, teacher, student, mentor, intern, leader, follower, disciplinarian, judge, jury, witness, victim, advocate, reader, writer, believer, sinner, blessed, and a child of God), yet, I am nothing. I am a work in progress on a mission though. The mission is me, and the road is rocky sometimes, but the rewards are definitely worth it. Just walk with me.......
